Check at LEAST -> Electro 2, and hear (i think) the first time the Amen break was used in -> The B Boyz - 2,3, Break.

If you want more old skool theres a more classics there.
I hope he posts Electro 4 - i have 2! copies (vinyl) 1 i wore out as a teenager, the other i dropped on a keyboard stand and chipped the 1st track, and the track was !!!!!! Run DMC - SUCKER MC !!!!!! on 1 side - SHIT!!

I do have upto 11, & 3 side shots (Y vs LA Beats, UK Electro n another i forget) though only 5 & 7 on good vinyl, the rest are tapes (originals).
I may rip them at a later date.
If you google 'Streetsounds electro' there is someone selling the entire lot (Bootlegged from the original Vinyl onto CD) Its worth buying, hes done a good job of the covers (i think you get 2 albums in a double DVD case with a glossy cover scan(?), I may ask for it for xmas from my brother (gives him excuse for his addiction - net shopping hehe.)

Send Space so sucks - i wonder if you get "Sorry, the free service is at full capacity." - i have everytime i use sendspace now (this makes me REALY NOT want to pay for a membership (not that i would... unless i wanted gigs & gigs of samples i'd buy a month on 1 and just download all the time (just after buying 500gb harddrive, n as my 250 has 'died' - guess what i'll be doing? I found a LOT of samples i want :)

DO YOU MAKE MUSIC OR DJ?
BTW anyone who likes to make music, i'm going to use the other AV as a pro audio swap shop, i'll post manuals (books), apps (mac & pc) & samples (akai, refills, and audio (wav/aiff etc) very soon. (If you DJ you may want to laptop mix so these will be available for your 'needs' Traktor, sample editing apps, codec conversion & Abletons)
Manuals will not be the pdf's you get with apps but real books. from Bob Katz on engineering to all Reason 'how to' books, you know the stuff. (Ignite, Power etc)

    FILE HO!

Did ANYONE have problems with the Bong-Ra - John Peel Sessions download?

I am going to use File Ho! 's service from now on -.

Why? (it offers all iFolder does without the inconveniences and is a 1/3rd faster)
What does it offer? (same as iFolder but no annoying waiting, advert pages, and is easy for ALL people to use, just click 'DOWNLOAD' so no language problems.
    1. No limits - size, time held on server etc

    2. 1 click download, no counter, no adverts and no code to type.

    3. It appears a 1/3rd faster than iFolder.

I expect this will change in the near future IF File Ho! becomes more popular (and it dosen't go bankrupt or?)

    SO :-

PLEASE TELL ME NOW IN THE COMMENTS IF YOU CAN NOT DOWNLOAD FROM THE SITE.

BTW I AM USING FILE HO! of course it is upto Shmalfus who he chooses to use. :)

Thank you to AV visitor for mentioning this share site, i wanted to wait awhile to see if it remained and didn't change. It appears good, i'm sure adverts and/or a membership fee will soon be required ((how can they not? it all cost money and they aren't making anything from their service) but for now they are good.

peace all and please tell me as all of my next shares will be with File Ho! (unless 'borrowed' shares ;)

Being in OGG format - Mac OSX users can play the files with MacAmp Lite X was a great little MP3 (and more) player for OS X.

Now, it's dead (no longer being updated/developed but this dose NOT mean it is an innadequate player, far from it, it is more stable than Audion OSX (shame) & possibly the best mp3 (& ogg) player for OSX for its lack of cpu usage if you want to quick build a playlist of new albums with unchecked tags this is the player, Whamb was less stable - bring back Soundjam (oh the people are making iTunes... damn)

    Anyway it lives on
  • MacAmp Lite HERE
  • for free.

Download it and enjoy, and (i read) you can use the following codes. (Why though its free??) maybe theres more to discover, hmm i may as ALL my Brian Jonestown Massacre albums/eps/ducks, whatever arty thing he calls them, are ogg (free from his (Antons) site btw!!) duck & ogg seem to fit. why is that? cat n dog, duck n ogg? hmm hmmm
    K codes :-
    Name: MALTX User
    Code: MALTX-490513-5082

    Name: PPP User
    Code: PPP-041661-0594

    I found (using 10.3.9 that
    A- I never needed the Serials &
B- the 2nd version worked, the 1st quit on opening. (10.3.9 incompatability? newest iTunes 7??)

I must say iTunes 7+ is actually good!, since about 4 (2.04 :) haha) i've not cared for any of the extras brought in the updates, all i noticed was a cpu drain each update just for a load of kiddy frills (tell your friends what music you are listening to! 'Robot DJ mode' BUY mp3's from the iTunes store (piss off i want something i can hold!) Even the half ripe Podcasting i'd not lose sleep if it were stopped today NOT until i can watch ALL TV on it. The future will be good though. I hope not as i'm expecting... 3 years?? 5?? Its ALL in place NOW. C'mon!
The updates never actualy brought musical sound quality enhancement. And on certain machines caused deterioration!! (THEN came Volume Logic!! BRILLIANT now pissed on by iTunes 7 as Volume Logic dosen't work in it - i was gutted as this is a superb plug in, You have iTunes player, the EQ and the Volume Logic 'console' i thought here we go, the sound quality doubled. sweet!
I do hope its out soon, for 7 & Tiger - i want to buy it (yes truely!! i do buy good software. G Force visualiser also :)
So iTunes as a complete entertainments package with killer sound quality. I await, cash in hand ready for a duel core duo.... hurry up or i'll just get another mini mac for making tunes.... trust PBook for lugging n iMac for this business.

    WAKE UP!!

Ok those who have said :-
I dont want to have ogg files! (Odd even though they sound better we went with MP3 or were heavily steered (broadsided) toward the 'MP'everything monicker. MpDonalds, MPeG, MPG, MPolice, Mental Patient :)

So no ogg 4 u/us You can of course if you wish the files to be mp3, burn these via Toast and re rip via iTunes.

(If you find other more unusual codecs for MAC (ie the dreaded mpc - check out www.rarewarez.com for a large collection of codecs for both PC & Mac. mpc has a console run doodad that i still haven't (been bothered to) sussed to convert an EXCELLENT Mille Plateux compilation. 1 day when i have more reasons than 1! to learn console properly (all 15 minutes), i make music not engineer software...

K other crap on the subject of non mp3 codecs :-

To convert WMA to MP3 on a Mac search Versiontracker or the other bloody 1 i've forgotten thats better (Mac??arrgghh! damn), for the easy to use 'WMA to MP3 Convertor'.

    peace

Blog needs a kik up the ass... so its happening.

Its been a whole month since the last non re-post! (I've been very busy trying to soundproof my flat for my "bedroom studio", its almost there (hooray i can make noise again!!! annnnnd...... --->

Also just had a great result, I've got a LOT of new stuff (muziq) in now so get ready, I got the time to spare to post... lets warm ourselves next to out over heating amps n burst some ear drums - tinatus rules ok? what?

Oh yeah 'other' new stuff occuring, as you know (you will in a minute) I love Live Sets of 'our' music & possibly more so i realy love Net Labels so at least for the Live Sets AV is adding a 'thing'.

Its a 'doodad' that is all over "real" web sites. You know those mp3 Player with selectable playlists.

So a 'Player' on the blog.
I will full length Live Sets of the best i've found (recommendations ALWAYS welcome)

You are not forced to listen to 1 only all the way through of course, this lets you chose the artist, forward through the Set or to the next artist etc and of course if you want the set i can post it rather than listing (as before) 100's no one wants.

When you log in a random set will be playing but you can switch it off .. i mean turn it up or find another, i'll add as many as humanely possible. (Theres no point in me loading the 'playlist' up with stuff posted cos its all good and you'll want to download it anyway (c'mon what music can you resist :) that has a 303 in it or the Amen break?!! or a chainsaw plugged (sonically) through a load of filters.

I will also add Net Label artists in between ('net' 12"'s, eps & selected tracks from albums. I'll make huge neon signs to say where you can get these for download, there are SO many great artists not being heard enough, they need you! ;)
IF possible I'll have 2 players running... see how it goes.

BTW it can have a 'skin' - Whats good? an iPod (black or white), a 'Boom Box or a Tape (or some mp3 player looking thing)?
i like the Tape (normal small 'walkman' tape, not reel 2 reel. BUT if it dosen't have the playlist i know the iPod has, so if its an iPod its for practicality not cos they are made by apple (i have 1 but the hype factor / fashion is sucky, but 60 gig of music wherever i go, now thats not sucky... i'd take 30 cdr's in the car and not want to hear 29 of them after selecting them 20 minutes before...

ok i'm shutting up - man i cant believe the "score" i've just made on fresh tunes - sw33t!!

Oh yeah as well as the Live Set player there will be video's added, they will be held on my space but you CAN copy them to hard drive. i'll post info. its a web site you add the url of the my space held video and it 'rips' it off the site, cool (much easier than running through html source n trying to snatch it out or recording the screen with a visual version of Audio HiJack.

    k i'm feking off.

    Things are looking up.

    Take care all.

    Peace.

BTW I am nutted at the moment so this WILL be tangented and possibly hard to understand :) ok? great.
